Collaborative Partnerships with Families and Communities

There is an effective enrolment and orientation process based on active communication and collaboration with families. Staff contact the parent regularly via phone to give updates during the first few weeks, parents are welcome to call or visit to ensure peace of mind.
Families are invited to the centre on special occasions like Father’s day, Mother’s day, and Chinese New Year, Indian festival called Diwali, Christmas etc.
Parents and families are welcome to visit the Centre at any time.
Parents are invited and encouraged to have input into program.
Daily reflections/journal is regularly posted in the KindyHub software accessed by families. Important information is sent via e-mail or WhatsApp to the parents.
Advertising for local businesses and community services are displayed for families in the foyer.

Educators

Provide a practical source of information about resources and services available to them via brochures at the sign-in area Parents suggestions and ideas are welcome at any time. If parents wish to remain anonymous, a suggestions box is kept at the sign-in area which is checked weekly by the management.

Communicate with the family when a child is having trouble settling into the service. Children are supported during transitions - (routines).

Acknowledge and respect beliefs and practices that families bring with them into the setting.

Welcome parents’ suggestions and ideas and have open conversations regularly when they come to drop in and pick up their children.
